Fri, 05 Mar 2010 01:07:23 +0000http://www.occasionalplanet.org/?p=543#comment-39The first line of this posting, “The ability to sell a contradiction is sometimes the measure of a man or woman, at least when it comes to success in politics” is a gem in itself. The honest person will tell us what he or she is doing; wrestling with ambiguity. The hypocrite will follow the Pawlenty model that you so accurately describe. It’s good that someone is taking him on about this now because it is only 978 days until the 2012 presidential election; the campaign is well under way.

Thu, 04 Mar 2010 15:54:07 +0000http://www.occasionalplanet.org/?p=543#comment-38Good article. It’s far to easy to accept rhetoric as fact and to to let hypocrisy slip by. If we’re going to turn things around, we’ve got to be more vigilant and hold our politicians’ feet to the fire. It’s too bad that The Daily Show is about the only place where hypocrisy is highlighted and mocked. Where’s the mainstream press, anyway? Oh, I forgot: they’re owned by the same folks who own the politicians.
