It reminds me of another St. Louis-related story; the improprieties committed by several members of the St. Louis Police Department with scalped tickets from the 2006 World Series. This is something that the Police Department could have dealt with forcefully and with integrity at the time; instead they have stalled. If it weren’t for the outstanding work of John Chasnoff and others with the Eastern Missouri chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, the errant police officers may have gotten away with their transgressions. I hope that the politician to whom you refer wisens up and never had to go into “cover-up” mode.
