Very well written. How about this scenario? Albert gets a market contract from the Cards; say 8 years at $30 mill/year. He pledges to use half of his salary each year to support his causes in St. Louis, Dominica, and/or wherever else he chooses. He has plenty of money to support his family, he isn’t further padding the Cardinal owners’ pockets, and he is setting a fine example in the Gates/Turner/Buffett mode.
