The truth is that the ultra-rich are not paying their fair share, & the rest of can do little about it because of the Citizens United decision in the Supreme Court, which virtually eliminated campaign finance reform, leaving most legislators in the position of fighting for the wealthy in their legislative efforts rather than for the rest of us. If we want to turn our country back into a true republic rather than the oligarchy it has become we will need to educate people to: go into private retail or home business rather than joining the military; advocate in large numbers to increase upper class taxes, especially for the corporations; vociferously lobby their legislators with their true opinions so they know that they cannot expect all of us to just keep them in office if they do not work for the average citizen a little harder.
