I was such an animal lover and didn’t really care for meat but the decision was finally made after reading an interesting article.
I wish I knew who the author was. It was in a Farmer’s Almanac. I looked up Vegetarianism and there was the brief summary that went deeper than any other that I have ever read.
It touched on the idea of ingesting not just a food source but also the negative energy that was created by the death of the animal. The notion that I could have more control over the amount of positive energy around me was such an enlightening moment for this 8 year old girl.
All these years later I am much more informed about the many reasons for not eating meat but I still feel that the spiritual benefit has been the greatest benefit.
