For my part I have a concealed carry license and this saved
me from being the victim of an assault about nine years ago. The violent crime rate in the U.S.
increased by 470% from 1962 to 1992.
Since 1992 it has decreased by about 200% of the original 1962
rate. The two main factors are longer
sentences and concealed carry. We
only have about one on duty cop for every 2000 of us and this has caused us to
be responsible for our own security.
About one in twenty five adults in the U.S. now has a concealed carry
license. Like many others, I carry
a small revolver with laser grips that put a red dot on the target. I am one of millions of unreported people who have prevented
assaults or worse in this country.
