I’m also planning to spend November 4th making reminder phone calls and helping people with transportation or watching kids so that they don’t miss their chance to vote. I’ll keep Arthur in the loop about any other things that my merry group of 20 somethings can do to make this happen.

I’m also beginning to think that the concept of accepting such minimal campaign donations should be more exciting to the many progressive reporters. I’d love to see the numbers, side by side, between the campaigning budgets of candidates.

There’s absolutely no chance I can win, assuming I win the Democratic primary (since no one’s running against me, I suppose I will). I don’t expect to get any media coverage. I am not spending a dime of my money or anyone else’s, and I’m campaigning via Twitter and dozens of dopey, badly-done 30-second YouTube videos shot with a flip phone featuring stuffed animals: for example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-eqDWum0ug

The point is to have fun and to fuck with right-wing Republicans. In most safe districts, which are about 85% (at least) of the 435 House seats, minority-party candidates are simply delusional to think they can win or even have any impact.
