I have a much different belief, in which i am entitled to because all matters on this topic, including your article, are in fact, just an opinion. I think that there is this undiscovered, unexplored thing called mascullinism, and that feminism is actually the belief that women are superior to men, and masculinism is the opposite, being that men are superior to women. And that there is this middle ground that I have yet to think of a name for whos beliefs reflect equal rights for both gender. Once again this is just my personal theory feel free to discuss and riticule it as you deem fit.

So far so good. I have to tell you something, Mister Adam Levin, directly to you.

Every subculture has misandrists, and misogynysts. This doesn’t justify calling every gamer/feminist a misogynyst. As you said. But it happens. It happens in this article, too. You chose wiser words than most, but when you look at your piece of art, it boils down to “gamers are bitter woman-haters”. This is actually an insult!

And if you are so keen on your “equality” why don’t you hold quinn responsible for her actions? Why doesn’t it apply to her? Why are gamers woman-haters when there is reasonable critique on her actions?

You use her in your article as an object to project victimhood upon her. Isn’t this this evil “objectification” every feminist dreads so much? She has more to her story than being a victim! I’m glad this incident opened up a broader debate about sexism in the gaming community. This is an issue us women have been aware of and grappled with for some time. The community, the CC, and discussions have been dominated by and/or geared towards males. The CC, in particular, often denigrates women and gives them one purpose: to entertain or amuse males. It’s not only wrongheaded but contributes to unhealthy self worth and body image issues. (It’s worth mentioning that it’s not always men leading the charge against women. There are anti-feminist women out there doing damage.)

You made a great point about a few bad apples spoiling the whole bunch in people’s minds. Bitterness is a hard pill to swallow.
