Comments on: Ferguson aftermath: Why I think Darren Wilson will not be indicted https://occasionalplanet.org/2014/10/02/ferguson-aftermath-why-i-think-darren-wilson-will-not-be-indicted/ Progressive Voices Speaking Out Wed, 11 Feb 2015 19:42:46 +0000 hourly 1 By: Woody Stemms https://occasionalplanet.org/2014/10/02/ferguson-aftermath-why-i-think-darren-wilson-will-not-be-indicted/#comment-6478 Thu, 02 Oct 2014 20:58:00 +0000 http://www.occasionalplanet.org/?p=30252#comment-6478 Here’s an aspect of this case that, as far as we know, hasn’t been openly discussed:

The dear departed was 6 ft. 4 in. tall and weighed over 290 lbs.. He was young, and in good health. He was also, no doubt, jacked up on adrenaline. ( He thought he was about to be arrested for a felony, had reached inside the police car, struggled to gain control of the officers weapon, and the gun had gone off. )

Michael Brown had both feet firmly planted on the ground. The officer, seated in his car, had Very limited range of motion. His backward movement was blocked by the seat, his hips & legs were stationary, and moving his neck was the only way to avoid a blow to his head. If, as alleged, the dear departed had hit the officer, while the officer was seated, and Mr. Brown standing, ( if not leaning over and punching downward, which would make it worse ) there’s no doubt in our mind that it was a substantial blow, and one that at the very least was disorienting. It’s quite possible that the officer suffered a concussion.

We believe that the forensic evidence that shows so many missed shots, at a large target, gives credence to this theory and helps explain why what happened did happen.

Have you ever played football? Ever had your “bell rung”? Think about those times you trotted off the field in a daze. If someone had handed you a pistol then, and pointed to a target, how many shots would it have taken for you to hit it? How long before you were thinking clearly?

Michael Brown took his best shot, … and the officer shot back.

Michael Brown was asking for trouble, and found it.
