Such as the anti-U.N. position. Asking questions, digging deeper, reveals how shallow those opinions are. I wonder how many people know why they don’t like the U.N., beyond a vague disapproval of paying dues? Anti-spending seems to be a theme on the right, with the usual exceptions for the military industrial complex and corporate welfare. It would be interesting to know how much Americans know about the U.N. and why we should pay those dues. Or if they know Trump’s supposed net worth is several times that of our annual U.N. dues. Seems a small price to pay for avoiding nuclear catastrophe and the U.S. participates in a lot of warfare.
