Your chart is very deceiving as is your political philosophy.
Who builds those yachts and bathrooms? Most likely union workers. I guess that’s pretty bad to keep those people working, eh?
And they don’t keep their money in their mattress or barn. You’ve been watching too many episodes of Scrooge McDuck.
They put that money banks where it is lent out as mortgages, car loans and business loans to ordinary folks like you.
And maids and butlers are honest people doing honest work. Why would you throw them out into the street?
]]>It may involve more bravery than we usually demonstrate, however. We seem to be easily convinced that voting for “the lesser of two evils” (see also: the less moneyed of two wealthy candidates) is the only way to prevent a catastrophic end to the world as we know it. And we need to vote in larger numbers. I’m convinced that if we can make some basic changes to our current system, more people would be encouraged to vote in a fair election process. There is little incentive for disillusioned voters but if we can let them know certain candidates are ready and willing to make the necessary changes, it may be enough to start.
Occupy Wall St. et al started this entire awareness process and we’ve been slowly waking up since then. Your congressional campaign and now Bernie Sanders’ presidential primary campaign have increased awareness and built momentum. We can do this and supply-side democracy is the way to go.
