“We” pay for welfare. Which leads to single mothers. Which leads to children with mental (and physical) health issues. Which leads to adults with mental health issues. The theft of “our” money to pay for welfare has led to the current problems. Enough with stealing “our” money and handing it over to the fuck ups that “work” in government.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but we already pay for it. We pay for it when we incarcerate people instead of treating them. Due process isn’t free and neither is housing someone in prison. We pay for it in blood, when mental illness results in mass shootings, domestic abuse, and suicide. We pay law enforcement to handle cases of mental illness when we should be paying healthcare professionals.

So we could pay for it with the same money we’re using to treat the symptoms rather than the disease.
