It seems like the only fair way to run campaigns while also allowing politicians to do the jobs they were elected to do once in office. Raising money for the party can take up more time than legislating and creates politicians beholden to wealthy donors. That doesn’t leave much room for principles. It is counterproductive, especially to the interests of the electorate.
