It was acceptable to the country that the police do this type of thing to unarmed peaceful protesters during the W. Bush and Obama presidencies. Peaceful protesters exercising their constitutionally protected rights to free speech and protest in broad daylight during the Occupy movements, for example, were peppersprayed, assaulted, and violently arrested by the hundreds. Now that we have an anti-media president advocating violence towards anyone who disagrees with him, we can expect this to happen to everyone else too–especially the people exposing these human rights violations to the rest of the world. The “fake media”, our POTUS calls them. What democracy?
