I think we need to have a path for people to change. We on the left should understand that this is a sickness in our culture. The permissiveness of sexual assault is unacceptable but zero tolerance is stupid. It will only lead to backlash. We need to change the culture of society we should start by rejecting purity in favor of forgiveness.

They have betrayed the voters’ trust, in addition to their victims’. Should they not be removed? As we are seeing, non-politicians are fired from their positions of employment for the same behavior. If not removed from office, what then are the consequences for serial sexual harassers/abusers? I hate to think we are giving Franken a pass because he is “one of ours” or because it’s politically inconvenient to lose his Senate seat. I’d hope justice prevails upon all without regard to their political affiliation, race, sex, religion, etc. That is the progressive way.
