On August 24, White House press secretary Josh Earnest responded to reporters asking about Joe Biden possibly running for the Democratic nomination against Hillary Clinton:

So I think you can make the case that there is probably no one in American politics today who has a better understanding of exactly what is required to mount a successful national presidential campaign. That means that he’s going to collect all of the information he needs to make a decision.

Really? I think we just heard a ringing non-endorsement of Hillary Clinton.

Biden’s personal press secretary says Biden hasn’t made a decision but will by the end of summer. My guess is that he will run, and he will be on the stage, opposing Hillary, for the first Democratic debate on October 13 in Las Vegas.

When asked, Earnest said that he wouldn’t rule out an Obama endorsement in the Democratic primary. So, if he runs, it’s clear from today’s press conference that Obama will endorse Joe Biden for President. It makes sense because Biden would, essentially, carry forward Obama’s policies into a “third term” of his administration. I’m going out on a limb to suggest that Biden is running at Obama’s behest to make sure Hillary is not elected.

The Obama administration has been noticeably absent in commenting on Hillary’s run for president. They have kept their distance from her on the so called “email scandal.” No stepping in and protecting her from Republican jackals who are trying to sink her presidential campaign with email servers and any other scandals they can find. Not even a little bit of support from the White House. Just Valerie Jarrett going on CNBC to deny rumors that she leaked the information about the email servers to the press. That accusation came from Edward Klein, long-time Democrat and Clinton supporter, former editor of the New York Times Magazine, and author of Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. the Obamas, who appeared on Fox to say that the email scandal originated from the White House.

On March 7 of this year, a few days after the New York Times broke the email story, Obama was interviewed on CBS. To me, his perfunctory praise of Hillary, his tone, and severe countenance suggest that he was not interested in supporting her in any way on the private server issue, or most importantly, in her becoming president.

Taken as a whole, the above says to me that there are powerful people within the Democratic Party who do not want Hillary and Bill back in the White House. Today’s press conference strongly suggests Barack Obama is one of them.

On August 24, White House press secretary Josh Earnest responded to reporters asking about Joe Biden possibly running for the Democratic nomination against Hillary Clinton:

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

2119,10
698,603,2481
