This is our home.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n Eleven years after \u201cAn Inconvenient Truth\u201d shocked the world with its warnings about the effects of climate change, former vice-president and climate activist Al Gore is set to release a sequel to his Oscar-winning first film. \u201cAn Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power,\u201d the second installment in Gore\u2019s climate-change documentary project, seeks to educate the viewer about the accelerating effects of climate change while highlighting hopeful advances in the technology of sustainable, green energy.<\/p>\n The timing of the film\u2019s release couldn\u2019t be better. It follows fast upon the signing by the Trump Administration of a reckless and fact-defying executive order curbing enforcement of climate-related regulations and deep cuts to the budget of the Environmental Protection Agency.<\/p>\n Judging from the newly released trailer, \u201cAn Inconvenient Sequel\u201d features a fighting-mad yet guardedly optimistic Al Gore. Here is Gore, pleading with us to wake up before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n \u201cThe next generation will be justified in looking back at us and thinking, \u2018What were you thinking? Couldn\u2019t you hear what the scientists were saying?
